| 1 lb. lean groud beef | 1/2 c. chopped onion |
| 2 tsp. crushed red pepper | 1 tbs. ground cumin |
| 1 tbs. chili powder | 1 15oz. can refried beans |
| 4 tostada shells | 1/2 c. shredded monterey jack |
| 1/2 c. shredded cheddar | 2 med. tomatoes, seeded, diced |
| 2-20 c. shredded lettuce | |
| Cook ground beef, onions, red pepper, cumin and chili powder in skillet until meat is well browned. Stir in beans. Place equal amounts of mixtureon each shell. Top with cheese, lettuce and tomato. May use additional toppings such as sala, chopped jalapeno, chopped onions,diced avacado or sour cream. |
