| 2 lbs. Sirloin Steak | 3 tbsp. Butter |
| 2 C. dcied onions | 2 Cloves chopped garlic |
| 1 1/2 C. sliced carrots | 1 C. celery, chopped. |
| 1/4 tsp. Black pepper | 2 bay leaves |
| 10 oz. white hominy | 1 c. diced green pepper |
| 3 qts. Beef broth | 16 oz. chopped tomato |
| 3 med. Potatoes, chopped | 2 C. cauliflower |
| 1 tsp. ea. Marjoram and Thyme leaves | Salt to taste |
| Cut steak into 1/4 inch cubes and brown in butter in six qt. Sauce pan. Add onions, garlic, carrots, celery, potatoes and green pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes with pan covered until vegetables are softening, . Add beef broth, tomatoes, salt and pepper. Bring to boil and reduce heat. Add cauliflower, hominy, bay leaf, thyme and marjoram. Simmer for 35 minutes, checking vegetables. They should not be mushy. Remove bay leaf before serving.
