| 3 lbs. Beef stew meat | 1/2 C. all purpose flour |
| 1/4 C. vegetable oil | 2 lbs. Fresh mushrooms, quartered |
| 3 large onions, diced | 4 cloves garlic, minced |
| 8 oz. chopped green chilies | 1 15 oz. can tomato sauce |
| 1 C. dry red wine | 2 tbsp. Chili powder |
| 2 tsp. Salt | 1 tsp. Black pepper |
| Cut beef into 1 inch cubes. In a large bowl, combine steak and flour, tossing to evenly coat steak. In soup pot, heat oil over med. heat. Add beef and cook 5 to 6 min. until evenly browned. Add remaining ingredients, draining chiles, and bring to boil. Reduce heat to low, cover and simmer for 2 to 2 1/2 hours or until meat is tender. Stir occasionally.
