PLAIN OLE CHILI

2 lb. ground beef 1 lg. onion, chopped
1 green bell pepper, chopped 1 red bell pepper, chopped
2 stalks celery, chopped 1 can whole tomatoes, chopped
2 cloves minced garlic 2 tbsp chili powder
1 med. jalapeno, seeds removed 2 tsp dried oregano leaves
Salt and black pepper to taste Chili salsa to taste
1 tbsp tomato paste Tomato sauce as required for consistency
Saute onions, green and red peppers and celery in large saucepan with 2 tnsp oil until soft. Add meat and cook on medium heat until brown. Stir in tomatoes and paste. Add garlic, oregano, chili powder, jalapeno, and slasa. Simmer 2 1/2 houes, stirring occasionally. Add salt and pepper to taste. Simmer additional 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
