| 1 doz. oysters on half shell | 1 bunch shallots, chopped |
| 1 tbsp. margarine | 1 tbsp. flour |
| 1/2 c. chicken broth | 1/2 c. shrimp, minced |
| 1/3 c. mushrooms, minced | 1/3 c. white wine |
| 1 egg yolk, beaten t | Tabasco sauce |
| Bread crumbs | Paprika |
| American Process Cheese, grated | Salt and pepper |

| Place oysters over layer of ice cream salt in large, shallow baking dish. Bake at 350°F for 6-8 minutes. Sauté shallots in margarine until brown. Stir in flour and cook until brown. Gradually add chicken broth, stirring constantly until smooth. Add shrimp and mushrooms, mixing well. Beat wine into egg yolk and stir into hot mixture, stirring constantly. Season with salt and pepper. Add Tabasco sauce to taste. Simmer 15 minutes, stirring constantly. Spoon mixture over each oyster. Sprinkle small amount of bread crumbs, paprika and cheese over oysters. Bake at 350°F 12 minutes. (c)2000Recipes4U.com(tm) |
