FUDGE CAKE

1 c. softened margarine 1 1/2 c. sugar
4 eggs 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 c. butter milk 2 1/2 c. flour
1 1/2 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips 8 oz. sweet baking chocolate, melted
1/3 c. chocolate syrup 2 tsp. vanilla
4 oz. white chocolate, chopped 2 1/2 tbsp. Shortening
Cream margarine in large mixing bowl. Beat well while gradually adding sugar and eggs. Dissolve soda in buttermilk. Add to creamed mixture, alternately with flour, beginning and ending with flour. Add 1 c. chips, melted chocolate, syrup and vanilla. Stir until blended. Spoon batter into 10 inch greased Bundt pan. Bake at 300°F oven for 1-1/2 hours. Invert immediately onto serving plate. Let cool. Combine 4 oz. of white chocolate and 2 tbsp. Shortening in top of double broiler and bring to boil. Reduce heat to low. Cook until mixture is even and smooth. Remove from heat. Drizzle over cooled cake. Melt remaining chips and shortening in saucepan. Remove from heat and cool. Drizzle over white chocolate.
