CORN BREAD
1 1/2 C white cornmeal   3 tbsps all-purpose flour
1 1/2 tsps baking powder   1 tsp salt
2 tbsps shortening or oil 1 1/2 c milk  
1 egg - beaten
Sift together corn meal, flour,baking powder and salt into bowl. Add milk and egg to dry ingredients. Stir to combine all ingredients together. Pour into 9", greased, square baking dish. Bake at 450°F for 20 to 25 minutes or until brown on top.
