| 3 lbs. Spare ribs | 1 lg. Onion, sliced |
| 2 bay leaves | 6 whole peppercorns |
| 2 1/2 tsp. salt | 1 c. catsup |
| 2 tbsp. vinegar | 2 tbsp. Worcestershire Sauce |
| 1/2 tsp. black pepper | 2 tbsp. brown sugar |
| Put spareribs, onion, bay leaves, peppercorns and 2 tsp. salt in large pan. Add water to cover. Bring to boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes. Drain off liquid and move spareribs to shallow dish. Drain off liquid. Combine onion, salt, catsup, vinegar, pepper, Worcestershire Sauce and brown sugar along with 3/4 cup water in cook pan. Mix well and pour over spareribs. Marinate 24 hours. Drain spareribs and broil over hot charcoal bed until tender, about 1 1/2 hours. |
