| 5 lb. fresh brisket | 10 whole cloves |
| 1 med. onion quartered | 2 cloves garlic halved |
| 10 oz jar apple jelly | 3 tbsp brown mustard |
| 3 tbsp green onions, minced | 3/4 tsp curry powder |
| 3/4 tsp black pepper | salt to taste |

Place brisket, onion, garlic and clove in large, heavy saucepan. Add water and cover,
Bring to boil. Reduce heat and simmer 2 to 3 hours, or until beef is tender. Drain. While preheating oven to 325 Deg. F., combine jelly, mustard, green onions, curry powder, pepper and salt in saucepan and bring to boil . Remove from heat. Place brisket on baking dish, brush with glaze. Bake 45 minutes, basting often. Remove from heat. Let cool 15 minutes. Slice thinly, across grain and serve. |
